Abdullah wins second place in the e-poster session in the Kaust Research Open Week 2023.

The KAUST SPE PetroBowl team qualified in the 2018 MENA (Middle East North Africa) competition to participate in the PetroBowl Finals held during the September 2018 SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in Dallas, Texas, USA. In the PetroBowl competition SPE Student Chapter teams play against each other in a series of quick-fire rounds, answering technical and non-technical gas and oil-industry related questions.

Dr. Victor Torrealba from the Hoteit group presented a technical paper on the use of microemulsion technology for conformance improvement application at the 2018 SPE Annual Technical Symposium and Exhibition in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. At the conference, which took place April 23-26, Dr. Torrealba also spoke on a young professional's panel about how young professional can maximize their contributions in STEM careers.

Deemah AlAshban, who completed a six-week SRSI internship supervised by Prof. Hussein Hoteit in 2017, has qualified for the prestigious INTEL ISEF Science Fair in Pittsburgh, USA. The prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the largest pre-college scientific research event in the world.

Professor Hussein Hoteit will represent ANPERC at the AIEC 2018, 5th Ajman International Environment Conference on Climate Change and Sustainability. He will be speaking on March 6, from 1pm to 3pm. In his talk he will give an assessment of CO2 Emissions from major industries in Saudi Arabia.
