The second edition of the KAUST Research Open Week was held from 26 February to 2 March 2023.

During the event, KAUST scientists presented scientific e-posters at three sessions in the university library that were open to the entire community.

The e-poster sessions were divided into three thematic areas:

1. Sustainable Environment and Supply of Essential Needs
2. Economies of the Future
3. Energy and Industrial Leadership & Health and Wellness

Ph.D. student of the ARMS group Abdullah Al Omier received a second-place prize in the Sustainable Environment and Supply of Essential Needs category for his e-Poster titled "Novel Mixed Wettability Coating of Microfluidics: Applications to Hydrocarbon Recovery and CO2 Storage."
