Research Interests

Carbon Capture and Storage in KSA: focusing on locating adequate CO2 storage sites (e.g. aquifers, hydrocarbon fields, basalts,) in the country and estimating storage capacity and leakage potential from them. Development of a digital  online CO2 storage Atlas that summarizes the above findings and includes other layers of information e.g. natural protected areas, transport pathways, geology, cities, population, CO2 emissions, DEM etc.
